I was sent this Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask product from Cleopatra’s Choice for free to review. I have tried a few mud masks in the past. I like using them Read This Awesome Article! »
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. Especially for the fashion and food! The one thing I hate about fall is the way it dries out my skin. I Read This Awesome Article! »
I am an advocate of “anti counterfeiting” especially in fashion; fake purses, bags, wallets, shoes etc. When my husband forwarded me this article (Feds nab $325 million in fake Gucci, Ugg, Coach goods) yesterday. I couldn’t help but talk about it. So many brands counterfeited! Gucci, Ugg, Burberry, Coach, Nike, Lacoste, Polo and Louis Vuitton. To me it’s sickening.
WHY AM I THIS WAY ABOUT FAKES???
Well, let me tell you. Back in 2003, I wanted a Coach wristlet. I went to eBay and found one for a “reasonable price” and purchased it. I could not wait for it to come in the mail. When it finally arrived I was immediately disappointed. There was plastic around the “leather” strap and the “leather” felt like plastic. I knew this had to be fake.
I can’t tell you how much I love this time of year!
I was browsing the EXPRESS site the other day and I couldn’t help but to notice their color pairs of “jeans” . They were really leggings. I like the colors they had fuchsia/ purple, light blue, grass green, and ruby red. I have to say that the fuchsia and ruby red are my favorite colors! I like them because they have actual pockets. I remember being in 5th grade and
Don’t you just love this time of year? Flowers are coming back to life after being hurried away by the cold winter air. Sun shining. New fashion collections. *exhale* Love it!
A while ago I showed you some photos of Prada’s new shoe collection for women inspired by American Classic Cars.

It seems that there is no shortage of 50’s cool in their men’s collection as well. There were
NARS and MAC makeup companies are very popular. Bold and daring colors that have makeup addicts rushing to retail stores and online to buy the best eyeshadows (as far as pigmentation).
I recently took a trip to Saks Fifth Avenue and was immediately stopped at the NARS counter in the front of the store. Strategically placed I’m sure.
Gucci’s Milan Fashion Show for Fall/ Winter 2012 last week had a variety of looks. Strutting down the runway were maxi dresses, ruffled skirts, asymmetrical dresses with high splits, floral designs adorned with more ruffles, see-through tops and dresses with black aplique flowers that flowed so beautifully. The color pallet for the fashion show was made up of cool tones, such as dark blues, black, pops of green and burgundy. What fall/ winter fashion show would be complete if it did not include something from the animal kingdom? Animal fur coat and several bird feather dresses and skirts done in a fashionable way. Expect nothing less than than from Gucci.
I love most of these looks!
What could you see yourself wearing?
I love this quote because it is so true. I do this all the time! Shirts from Walmart paired with EXPRESS jeans and Louboutin shoes or Gucci belt paired with some dress I bought off
It amazes me how fashion trends cycle around. I can remember in the mid to late 90s
where clothes from the 70s were popular. Bell bottom pants, patchwork jeans, tie dye maxi dresses and platform heels. *sigh* gotta love it!
Here we are in 2012 and it’s back…COLOR BLOCKING!
A fashion step forward in the 1960s and now it returns. I love how it looks. You can put contrasting colors together and create something beautiful. It’s everywhere, designer spring collections such as Gucci, Reed Krakoff and at New York Fashion Week 2012.
Color Blocking from the 1960s:
I have been trying to find a nail polish that will last longer than a few days. THIS ONE IS IT! For someone who washes their hands all the time (I’m talking about 7x +). For me this Revlon Color Stay nail polish lasts for about 10 days (with minor nicking). After I tried this Nail Polish I decided to do a Revlon ColorStay review.
It’s that time again for YOUR STYLE MONTHLY (YSM)! Until I get takers I will continue to showcase MY style. My style varies depending on my mood or occasion. All of my looks are “wearable.” Hope you enjoy!
(Co-workers got a kick out of this)
Everyone was shocked to hear the news of Whitney Houston’s passing on Saturday February 11th. 2012. A soulful singer and winner of 2 Emmys, 6 Grammys and 22 American Music Awards, model, actress, producer, songwriter and fashion icon will be missed and never forgotten. Over the years she has displayed many different looks. We all remember the big hair and over-sized accessories of the 1980s, 1990s sleek and the sophistication of the 2000s.
