I noticed a new Holiday 2012 display at my CVS. “Lo an behold…” there is the the I Heart Matte pallet with a new name!
I purchased was this LIMITED EDITION Wet N Wild “Drinking a Glass of Shine” (I Heart Matte) Eyeshadow pallet. [I also got "Sparkle Til Morning" (with Urban Decay Naked Pallet Dupes) ] I picked this pallet because of these gorgeous matte colors! (Not to mention it’s the go to pallet for beauty You-tubers.) Beautiful bold colors with a relatively cheap price tag.
So you might be thinking…that was for the holiday season in 2012. Where can I get it?!?! I know that eBay, Amazon and the alike will have them (for marked up prices). Just be on the look out for them in the future. These totally caught me off guard. Glad I was able to snag a pallet before they were all gone. (One happy beauty blogger here!)
Stopping by the Chanel counter at my “local” Saks (2 makeup products and $75 later) the sales lady told me the new mascara from Chanel (Le Volume De Chanel Mascara). She gave me a deluxe sample to try out. I thought, “Cool.” I never had any of their mascaras and could not wait to try. And since it was FREE, even better.
I get home and try it out. The brush was nice looking. The formula was thick. BUT when I applied it it was all down hill for me. Why? My lashes are curly and are a beast to tame if I don’t have the right kind of brush. For me it took to long to apply and clumped my lashes together .
I was contacted by Bellus Soap Company back in October (I think) to do a review. I have never heard of this company before now. I figured…why not?! Let me see what this is all about. Like any other review (from a company) I went to the website. Read a a little bit about it. Liked what I saw since it was directed at people who wanted youthful and moisturized skin, had extremely dry skin and eczema (like myself). And a few weeks later I received my sample in the mail.
This is what the samples looked like:
Every month (or so) I go to my local CVS to pick up $20 of makeup. New (to me) colors, brands or whatever to review. I don’t live near a mall so CVS is all I have.
Anyway, one of the things I purchased was this LIMITED EDITION Wet N Wild Sparkle Til Morning Eyeshadow. [I also got "Drinking a Glass of Shine"/ I Heart Matte] I picked this pallet because of these gorgeous neutral colors! I don’t know if it’s just me. And tell me if I’m wrong. BUT some of these colors remind me of the Urban Decay Naked 1 and 2 pallets. All of these colors remind me of the Naked pallets except for the the obvious blue-green/ teal definer color. This is a great dupe for someone on a budget.
Before you think about making Whipped Avocado and Shea Butter or any other shea butter “projects”…you have to melt it down. I remember using it as a moisturizer before melting it down. I constantly felt like a DJ. I had to rub, rub, and rub to get the shea butter to melt.
So finally I broke down and melted the shea butter. It took about 30 minutes and was not hard to do. You just have to keep patience.
Keep Watching to learn.
My skin (and hair) has been suffering ever since September. The temperature pretty much plummeted! [This isn’t the first time I complained about my extra dry skin (grrrrr…)] After looking at a few blogs and YouTube videos I decided to make something that you treat my itchy dry skin (and nourish my dry hair). I made a batch of Creamy, Fluffy and Smooth Whipped Avocado and Shea Butter Mix.
So a couple of weeks ago ELF (Eyes Lips Face) sent me a coupon code for this large beauty set for only – $20! Very CHEAP! I usually buy ELF in stores and not online but this one was so cheap I could not pass it up! Not to mention there were a few items in the set that I have never tried. Couldn’t find a reason for not buying this kit…so…I had to snatch up this deal.
It arrives! I opened up in front of my camera and slowly began taking stuff out one-by-one. So far so good on the makeup products. Now on to the brushes! (Saving the best for last.) I was pretty disappointed with 2 things.
I was sent this Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask product from Cleopatra’s Choice for free to review. I have tried a few mud masks in the past. I like using them but never that often. So I gave this one a try. Overall I liked it! When ever I review a product I like for people to know the product before they buy it (or not). I show as many angles as I can with out trying to “sell” you the product. It’s more because I like to get creative in filming (a new hobby).
AdSense is providing something that everyone wants…MONEY!!! Don’t rush to sign up just yet! There are some things you should know before hand. It could be a good side income if you have high traffic to your site or YouTube videos. Of course, everything that glitters is not gold.
1. Get Paid!: You can make money from your website, blog or YouTube Channel. How? On your website or blog you can embed Google AdSense code on your website by using plugins. You will make money with each click. On YouTube you just have to “monetize” your videos. If you have this option, there will be a “MONETIZE” tab. Not everyone will have this option. The amount you get paid will depend on your traffic and number of clicks on the ads.
2. Placing Ads on Your Site: You can place up to 3 Google Ads on your page. You will have many display options such as text, photos and banners. It’s very easy to set up.
3. Ads: Ads will be chosen based on your content.
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. Especially for the fashion and food! The one thing I hate about fall is the way it dries out my skin. I was sent this 100% Organic Pure Unrefined African Shea Butter from Cleopatra’s Choice to review for free…and so far I’m loving it! Not just because it was free, lol.
Let me tell you why.
